What to do if your templates are not downloading properly.

If you notice your downloads are taking longer or not happening at all, you may be approaching the maximum your browser can cache. Once a cache is full, the browser has no room to temporarily store the document it needs to download to your machine.

When we access software through trusted browsers, we get the benefits of convenience, added security and automatic updates. Browsers mostly work quietly in the background, but we do need to ensure they are maintained. If not, your connections to portals and platforms may not work properly.

What do you need to look for to know your browser is optimized?

For starters, make sure it’s updated with the latest version. Releases often include new functionality but also important safety updates.

Next, take note of download speeds or inconsistent file downloads. If you notice your downloads are taking longer or not happening at all, you may be approaching the maximum your browser can cache. Once a cache is full, the browser has no room to temporarily store the document it needs to download to your machine. All browsers allow users to go into settings and clear cached items. When you do, you should notice immediate performance improvement loading files.
